1. Ticket Prices and Fees
The upfront price for tickets sold for events in the United States on Shen Yun Tickets includes the face value and required fees (generally before taxes and shipping). You will be shown the breakdown of your total before you make a payment.
Ticket Prices
The base price before fees is also referred to as “face value” and is determined by the event promoters based on production expenses, venue, etc.
Upfront Fees
All required fees are included in the upfront price except for taxes, shipping, and optional goods or services a customer may select as part of the ticket order. These fees help to cover the cost of hosting a live event and ensures that customers can purchase tickets through various channels.
- Ticketing Fee
A ticketing fee is applied to each ticket and is typically shared among the various entities involved in organizing the live event. This fee helps cover the costs associated with managing the ticketing process from start to finish. The event promoter may use their portion to support operations and cover credit card processing costs. Shen Yun Tickets’ portion goes toward maintaining a secure, user-friendly ticketing platform, along with providing customer support.
- Facility Fee
Some venues require the event promoter to charge a Facility Fee. Venue may use this fee to cover their cost, including staffing, insurance, maintaining the facility, etc. The fee varies by venue and event. Shen Yun Tickets does not receive any portion of this fee.
Other Fees (not Upfront Fees)
Most fees are included in the upfront price. However, additional charges may apply at checkout based on your selections.
- Shipping and Handling Fee
This fee is only charged if you select a specific delivery method, such as postal mail.
- Taxes
Taxes are mandated by the locality, city, and/or state of where the event takes place. Sometimes tax is included in the upfront price.
- Order Processing Fees
This fee is charged once per order to cover administrative costs associated with the ticket purchase and customer support.
